The Jefferson Memorial (Washington, DC)

The Jefferson Memorial can be found south of the White House. Thomas Jefferson was the third President of the USA and had a considerable influence on the establishment of the USA. Thomas Jefferson was a philosopher, diplomat, inventor, and more. He is also well known as the father of the Declaration of Independence.

The Statue of Liberty (New York City)

The Statue of Liberty is located on Liberty Island right on the border between New Jersey and New York. The legendary statue was regularly the first landmark seen by immigrants passing through the Harbour. The Statue of Liberty commemorates the centennial of the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence; it was given to the United States France to symbolize the friendship between the two countries established during the American Revolution.

The Liberty Bell (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania)

The popular Liberty Bell was once housed in Independence Hall but now has been moved right across the street on the turf at Independence Mall. The Liberty Bell is open everyday except on Christmas and the entrance to the hall is free.

The Independence Hall (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania)

In this hall the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution were created. The Independence Hall is located in the heart of Old City Philadelphia, bordered by a number of other famous attractions.

The Battery Park (New York)

At the southern tip of Manhattan we can find the Battery Park, which is a 25-acre park. It’s one of New York City’s oldest public open spaces and is named after the artillery battery stationed in the area to protect the harbour. This area is very popular with tourists and you can find a lot of attractions and restaurants nearby.
