Great Hotels of the World Members Win Multiple Awards at World Travel Awards 2009

A total of 23 awards were won by 16 Great Hotels of the World member hotels (http://www.ghotw.com) at this year’s World Travel Awards in London. Often described as the Oscars of the travel industry, the awards acknowledge excellence in the world travel and tourism industry. Aiming to separate the good from the outstanding, and identify companies that consistently exceed customer expectations, the awards are voted for by thousands of travel professionals from 183,000 travel agencies, tour and transport companies and tourism organisations in over 160 countries. Now celebrating their 16th year, the awards are regarded as the very highest achievement a travel product can hope to receive.
